Single window scheme introduced by the district industry centre since January 1999 offers industrial license (No objection certificate) to start an industry in Bijnor to the entrepreneurs under one roof. The time duration for the new license validity is fixed with the concern of the nodal officers of the Uttar Pradesh state government department who gather on a weekly basis in the district industry centre to summarise the details on the applications submitted by the entrepreneurs.

The district level udyog bandhu samiti scheme aims to resolve difficulties faced by the entrepreneurs in starting a business and also sanctions the required facility to the entrepreneurs. The udyog bandhu samiti is a district level committee organised by the state government which meets on second Tuesdays of each month at Vikas Bhawan.

The Prime Minister Rojgar Yojna scheme was introduced on October 2, 1993 which aims to deliver self-employment to the educated youths of Bijnor. The benefits of the scheme will be applied for the entrepreneurs who are in the age group of 18 to 35 and should possess a minimum qualification of 8th standard. The upper age limit can be relaxed up to ten years. The applicants belonging to SC/ST, physically challenged, ex-service men and women were also eligible to the scheme provided their household annual income is not exceeding more than 40,000/- per annum. In Rojgar Yojna for business sector the loan limit is up to 1 lakh rupees and for business & service sector a loan limit of up to 2 lakh rupees is granted under the scheme. The loan borrowers should contribute up to 20% of the whole investment including the subsidy value. The subsidy value will be about 15% of the total project investment.

Financial backing for businessmen under credit linked capital subsidy


The credit linked capital subsidy scheme aims for technology upgradation for small-scale industry units in Bijnor in their specified product of a sub sector by allotting 12 % back ended funding for the initiation of up gradating their specified industrial technology that are approved under the scheme. The Small Industries Development Bank of India, scheduled commercial bank and the Uttar Pradesh state financial corporation are the banks which provides loan under this scheme.

The maximum loan amount sanctioned for small scale industries in Bijnor are up to 40 lakhs with a subsidy covering about 12%. The industries in Bijnor that can avail benefits under this scheme are leather industry, foot wear, garment industry, IT hardware industry, food processing industry, pharmaceutical industry, automobile parts & components industry, electronic industries, glass & ceramic manufacturing industry, tyre manufacture industries, bicycle parts manufacturing industry, dyes & intermediates industries, toys, hand tools, foundries and cast iron industries.
